since it looks much more like a sit-down place i was expecting restaurant-quality food, and it fails in that. the food is only slightly better than cheap takeout (which isn't necessarily a bad thing, just not what I was aiming for atm).

One of the best Chinese restaurants in Brooklyn! I have been coming to this place for years and its still good! The place is really clean and nice seating areas and comfortable. You get served fresh green tea in adorable mugs and some hard crunchy noodles with a side of duck sauce and honey mustard. The menu is simple and basic Chinese food from chicken and broccoli, sesame chicken, fried/steamed dumplings, they even serve sushi. Everything comes out very clean and fresh on the plates and you can even share the food with someone else because it can be much. The prices are pretty good and reasonable and wont charge you a lot for good food and the waiters are always refilling your tea or drink of choice. They deliver which is great too. I love coming to this place when I am back in the neighborhood. I know there not open late but you should def. try it out if your in the neighborhood and want some good fresh Chinese food and quick service!

I loved this place for a long time. It's a little pricey, but it was worth it until they got a new chef. I ordered beef and broccoli one night and it was awful. I called because I've never had a bad dish from this place. The woman on the phone asked me what I wanted her to do. I don't get it. With places closing up left and right, a little courtesy goes a long way.

Chopstix is by far the best Chinese food restaurant Bay Ridge has to offer; which doesn't say much about the rest of the Chinese food places around here. This place is mediocre at best.It cannot always be counted on for cleanliness. Simply ignore the A in the front of the store and look up all the violations at http://nyc.gov. This will keep many of you running...running far away that is.If you do dare to order, be ready for inconsistency. Over-crispy orange chicken and extremely oily vegetable fried rice happens often. The lo mein has a funky smell from time to time and the baby back ribs are more fat and sauce than meat.I recommend getting a really good Chinese cookbook, learning the difference between fish sauce and soy sauce, and then cooking up your own Chinese meal. It will save you money and poisoning.

We have been ordering from them at least once a week for years. One of the best Chinese food places in Bay Ridge. They use high quality ingredients like all white meat chicken. We really enjoy their Steamed Chicken Dumplings, their boneless spare ribs and of course their Fried Rice. They loose a star because they nickel and dime you for every special request and because unlike many other restaurants that we patronize frequently, they have never thrown us any freebies or given us any kind of discount. (Value Pack Coupon, not withstanding). They also annoyed me because when my 85 year old aunt requested a delivery and only gave the guy a two dollar tip, he had the nerve to say something and shake her down for another buck! Granted $2 is cheap, but when it is an elderly person, you have to suck it up.They are also pricey, but you get quality food for that price.

Since I work around bay ridge, on occasion, I want a quick bite, so I figured soup is the most nutritious option. I walked in here, since it's 2 min away from where I teach, and asked for a soup. After paying an elevated price of 2.25, for essentially just broth, I asked for scallions, the cashier had the audacity to charge me .50 extra. Now it's the principle of the request. I am asking you for a sprinkle of scallions, and given the fact that you are charging me full price, for an item that is missing key ingredients, I think you can throw in some scallions for free.Don't fuel a stereotype, don't be cheap, never giving this dirtwhole my business, ever again.

This place is better than any Chinese take out I ever had. I love the fact that I have have plum wine with Chinese food in the restaurant. they also serve sushi too.I enjoyed looking at the wall, nice art. I really wish this place in Bay Ridge expands. There's not too much seating available. The restrooms are downstairs, which i was really fond of.Everytime I dine here, the service is good and the food is good. I usually order the Singapore Mei Fun or beef chow fun. My friends usually order the chicken and broccoli and the sesame chicken. If you are looking for good Chinese - American food then come and try this place out! I wish they delivered to my jobs and home.

I've had take out from this place once and I had the Hunan (or spicy) chicken which was great! The amount of food was decent for what you paid and it came with a soup or egg roll, which is a plus because not many places give that option (if its not a lunch special that is). The people taking the order seemed annoyed, considering it was a $60+ order but the food still tasted great. I tried the chicken and broccoli which was also fantastic and the sauce wasn't heavy and greasy like many other take out places. Their menu has many different dishes, which is great!Definitely try this place out or keep it in mind as an option.

We've been going to Chopstix and ordering in delivery for years. I always order the same dish. The last time (two weeks ago) that we ordered delivery, there was only 1/2 of the chicken that I usually get with the dish -- Steamed Green Jade with chicken. hmm...Today we went to the restaurant and there was a roach on the wall that walked next to me. I told our waitress and she said, "no, you didn't." That annoyed me, since I know what I saw. Then when a waiter came by, I told him and he killed the roach. I ordered the same dish and got the usual (larger) amount of chicken when dining in, but after seeing the roach, I wasn't too hungry.Chopstix has gone WAY down hill.

Apart from Lai Yuen--which is not really a place for take-out--this is the highest order of Chinese food in Bay Ridge. Just about every other Chinese joint is the super-cheap variety. This is actually classy Chinese food; and get this: its priced the same or sometimes even cheaper than those utter rock-bottom places. And the portions are often BIGGER. When you're sick of the same old crap Chinese food; go a cut above and go with Chopstix for takeout.

My go to place for chinese food, I have tried other chinese restaurants in bay ridge, and always find myself disappointed and go right back to Chop Stix, I have eatin in and and take out and service is always quick and friendly, also like that if you are looking to eat healthier chinese food, there are many options, steamed seafood dumplings are my favorite and steamed green jade with either chicken or shrimp comes with vegetables and brown rice, comes with some mustard sauce that takes good mixed with soy sauce.

I'd rate their take-out as 3.5 stars - slightly above your average quality Chinese take-out.Their dine-in is definitely 5 stars. So that averages to 4.25 stars total. This is my dine-in experience:I went here last night for Chinese New Year with 2 friends. Everything was fantastic.. I had the vegetable chow fun and scallion pancakes. One friend had the vegetable egg foo young, and "egg fried rice with extra egg". The other friend ordered peking duck. The peking duck was juicy, succulent, and flavorful. The vegetable chow fun was really delicious, and not bland at all (a problem with most Chinese take-out noodle dishes - though the spicy hot mustard definitely helped!). The scallion pancakes were fried to perfection, and the accompanying dipping sauce is divine! They certainly didn't skimp on egg when it came to the "egg fried rice with extra egg". The vegetable egg foo young was fantastic, and apparently the sauce it came with was particularly good.We honestly don't have a single complaint. The service was quick and accommodating, and the food was clearly delicious. The food + tax + tip for 3 people came out to $60. Not bad at all.I'm shocked by the difference between their dine-in food and their delivery. Definitely choose the dine-in option, if given the chance.
